Chapter 1- Visada Yoga- Verse 6



Verse 6:
"yudhamanyus ca vikranta uttamaujas ca viryavan|
saubadhro draupadeyas ca sarva eva maharatah||"

Translation:
"The valiant Yudhamanyu, the courageous Uttamauja, the sons of Saubadra and Draupathi, certainly are all might chariot warriors."

Chapter 1- Visada Yoga- Verse 5


Verse 5:
"dhrushtakethus cekitanah kashirajas ca viryavan|
purujit kuntibojas ca saibyas ca narapungavah||"

TRANSLATION:
" Dhrustakethu, the King of Cekitanah, the mighty king of Kashi, Purujit, Kuntibhoja, the King of Saibya are the noblest of men."

Chapter 1- Visada Yoga- Verse 4


Verse 4:
"atra shura maheshvasa bhimarjuna samayudhi|
yuyudhano viradhasca dhrupathasca maharatha||"

TRANSLATION:
"In this military legion, there are great bowmen who are equal to Bhima and Arjuna in battle, like yuyudhanah (satyaki), King Virata and Drupada , the great chariot warrior."

Chapter 1- Visada Yoga- Verse 3


Verse 3:"Pasyaitam pandu-putranam acarya mahatim camam|
vyudhaam drupata-putrena tava sishyena dhimata||"

TRANSLATION:
"Respected Preceptor! Please behold the mighty army of the Pandavas arranged in a military legion by your brilliant disciple, the son of Drupada (Dhrustadyumna)."

Chapter 1- Visada Yoga- Verse 2


Verse-2:Sanjaya uvaca
"dhrushtva tu pandavanikam vyudham duryodhanas tada|
acaryam upasangamya raja vachanam abravit||"

TRANSLATION:
Sanjaya said "At that time, after seeing the army of Pandavas arranged in a military legion nearing, dhuryodhana approached his preceptor dhronacarya and spoke the following words."

Chapter 1- Visada Yoga- Verse 1




Verse 1:
"dharma-kshetre kuru-kshetre samaveta yuyutsavah|
mamaka pandavas caiva kim akurvata sanjayah||"

TRANSLATION:
Dhratarashtra said "O Sanjaya! What did my sons, who are desirous of battle and the sons of Pandu do after assembling at the righteous battle field of kurukshetra?"
